Here are the highlights of my interview with Jodi Aman: Live Happier on Women Developing Brilliance.

Who is Jodi Aman?

Jodi Aman has been an intuitive counselor for over 20 years. She encourages you to overcome anxiety and live happier. Through humor and warmth, her popular YouTube Channel inspires thousands of people all over the world get rid of fear, expand their consciousness and live with vitality.

Having clawed her way out of her own anxiety and depression, Jodi shares her story of stepping into her personal power and shows you how in her best selling book, You 1,  Anxiety 0 - Win your life back from fear and panic. She’ll teach you how to change limiting beliefs, calm life’s chaos, create peace and embody happiness in your life.


Lightbulb moment

After a couple of volunteer experiences like a sewing group in a psychiatric hospital, a hotline for latchkey kids, and a holiday program of bringing gifts to people in need and/or bedridden Jodi realized that she wanted to help people for a living.

She went to social work school and never looked back.


Overcoming life’s struggles

At the age of 5, she learned what death was. This spiraled into decades of anxiety and huge panic attacks. It got so unbearable that it was difficult to even get out of bed some days.

She realized that she was not going to be able to live her mission from bed, and knew big changes had to occur.


Business lesson learned

In the beginning, it was difficult to find the perfect fit when it was time to hire and get support. She attributes the difficulty in seeing the potential in people vs. how high performing they actually were in the present moment.

She now taps into her intuition when looking to bring in an independent contractor and takes her time in the vetting process. She requests solid examples of the work they’ve done in the past.
 

Shining a bright light

When asked what kind of tips Aman would give the solopreneur who’s intimidated to go live on video, she said, Feel the person you are talking to, just like they are there sitting with you. Think about what’s going on in someone’s body when they are listening. Think about caveats of what you may need to add to help them process. Help them assimilate your information through storytelling, a theme, and numbered lists.


Her next big project

Her healing affirmations coloring book will be available in the month of November that’s got Aman super excited. She will be offering a masterclass on how to write affirmations that work!

I loved my time with Jodi because

She has healed and continues to heal through helping others. Her dedication to continue putting out quality content is very inspiring. Lastly, I like how she is aware that family time very much intersects with self-care time.
